After meeting at some god awful hour on a Sunday morning followed by a “spirited” drive members of Street Stylers Southwest arrived at the Dakota Drag Strip.

The aim of the day?

After the initial shock of being alive before midday on a Sunday people started the ritual of getting there cars ready for the track. Some people removed parts to make there cars lighter for the strip, while others simply changed wheels. But every car had to undergo a quick once over before they would be aloud a chance to hammer down the track and put in time.

When people had got this out of the way race after race after was kept coming by the staff at the track. Its not all “boy racers” a selection of hot rods, drag motorbikes and just about anything you could dream up was thrown down the track with one thing in mind, a quick time. Even Leeroy the managed to muster up the testicular fortitude to have a go.

As the days racing came to a close most of us decided that as there was a cruise on that night in Weston Super Mare we should pay a visit. First stop pub though for much needed food.

When we arrived at the cruise location we were quite disappointed. Word on the street was that this thing was going to be massive and unfortunately it was anything but. So we parked up had a fag and a chat with some of the locals then quickly jumped back in our wagons and headed home.
